If the interest rates go up than this is a good deal for the consumer. on the other hand if it goes down than the consumer loses on this. One saving grace on this type of mortgage though is you will be paying the same amount month after month. The second type is the adjustable rate mortgage which has become popular in the last few years. Adjustable rate mortgage type is determined by banks in Europe and not in the United States. these adjustable rates can move up or down and are primary used by people planning on moving in a couple of years. the last mortgage types that you will want to know about is the special type of mortgage. This is usually used for vacant lots or manufactured homes. these are usually for special needs and can be used for a variety of reasons.

These different types of mortgage loans cater to a wide variety of people and their problems. So, which one is best for you. That question really has no easy answer as mortgage types vary depending on each case. One type of mortgage maybe isn't right for the next person and so forth.
